Archive Project - Lichens
Human language(s) creates the boundaries within the taxonomies that we recognise as true.
Lichens, which exists on the overlapping of three species (fungi, algae and bacteria) are an example
of the fallacy of this logic that exclusively assigns one entity to one specie only.
This research project traces back from the exterior appearance - the point at which the eyes tries to
seek uniformity for the purpose of identification - to the possible underlying grid
where the predictability of patterns begins becoming uncertain.
